Frequent Questions

What is PCR? What is Hemp Oil?

Full Spectrum phytonutrient Hemp Oil is a naturally occurring constituent of industrial hemp. Its formula is C21H30O2 and it has a molecular mass of 314.4636. It is the most abundant non-psychoactive nutrients found in hemp plants, and is being scientifically investigated for various reasons.

PCR oil is a hemp oil that has significant amounts of full spectrum terpenes contained within it. Our full spectrum hemp oil products and extracts are derived from Colorado grown industrial hemp, so they could be considered phytonutrient-rich hemp oil. The form of Hemp  we use for our PCR Oil and full spectrum extracts is industrial hemp; we do not sell products containing marijuana or THC.

What’s the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

Scientifically, industrial Hemp and Marijuana are the same plant, with a species name of Cannabis Sativa. They have a drastically different genetic profile though. Industrial Hemp is always a strain of sativa, while marijuana can be Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, or Cannabis ruderalis. The major difference is how industrial hemp has been bred compared to a marijuana form of Cannabis sativa. Typically speaking, industrial hemp is very fibrous, with long strong stalks, and barely has any flowering buds, while a marijuana strain of Cannabis sativa will be smaller, bushier, and full of flowering buds. However, newer industrial hemp varieties in the USA are being bred to have more flowers and higher yields of endocannabinoids and terpenes, such as our Colorado hemp we’re now using!

99% of the time marijuana has a high amount of THC and only a very low amount of endocannabinoids.  Hemp, on the other hand, naturally has a very high amount of endocannabinoids in most instances, and only a trace amount of THC. Fortunately, the endocannabinoid profile of hemp is ideal for people looking for benefits from hemp oil without the ‘high.’ Hemp is used for making herbal supplements, food, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and so much more, whereas marijuana is usually used just recreationally, spiritually, and medicinally.

In the USA the legal definition of “industrial hemp,” per Section 7606 of the Agricultural Appropriations Act of 2014, is “INDUSTRIAL HEMP — The term ‘‘industrial hemp’’ means the hemp plant sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”  Industrial hemp is legal in all 50 states under this section of the law.

Does Hemp Oil and other natural hemp based constituents show up on a drug test?

Most workplace drug screens and tests target delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and do not detect the presence of cannabidiol or other legal natural hemp based constituents. However, studies have shown that eating hemp foods and oils can, in rare cases, cause confirmed positive results when screening urine and blood specimens.

Accordingly, if you are subject to any form of drug testing, we recommend (as does the United States Military) that you consulting with your healthcare, drug screening/testing company, or employer.

Are there any side effects from giving Hemp Oil to my pets?

There should be none as long as the suggested serving allotments are followed. If too much hemp extract oil is given to a pet, then temporary drowsiness may occur. Additionally, too much oil, not hemp extract, can cause pets to have an upset stomach and potential diarrhea. Stick to the recommended serving sizes as shown in the pet wellness tab to ensure a happy pet!

What’s the percentage of Phytonutrients  in your product?

Our raw extracts have varying percentages of endocannabinoid and full spectrum terpenes content, the range being 30%-99%. Each product has a unique formulation and uses varying ratios of our extract types. Our Isolate is over 99% pure.

What is the best method of use?

For our dietary supplements we can only recommend them for internal consumption. Our product has no flavor in the oil supplements, you can take it under the tongue as recommended or you can mix with something sweet like juice or even in your morning coffee.

How Much Hemp Oil should I take?

How many more little soldiers do you want to give your body? Well there’s never too much, it’s like drinking herbal tea or eating fruits and vegetables. You can’t overdose on drinking plenty of healthy tea or eating plenty of healthy fruits and vegetables. Problems arise when you are not eating enough of them.

The same principle goes for full spectrum hemp oil. Plenty of it is good, too little is not good.  It is important to know how much hemp oil you are putting into your body especially when it comes to the product you intend on using.  Here is a “best practices” chart and starting point to help find what amount of hemp oil is best for your body. Find your weight on the horizontal chart, then the severity of the condition you have on the vertical chart.

Condition Person's Size Person's Size Person's Size Person's Size Person's Size

80-125lbs 126-175lbs 176-225lbs 227-300lbs 300lbs plus

Mild Range 10mg 15mg 20mg 25mg 30mg

Medium Range 15mg 20mg 25mg 30mg 35mg

Severe Range 20mg 25mg 30mg 35mg 40mg

This is a good starting point. You may increase or decrease the amount doses your take per day based on how you feel.  Just like the vegetables you should be eating 3 times a day with every meal, maybe hemp oil after every meal, 3 times a day might help you. After all, hemp plants are like vegetables! There is no exact way to dose hemp oil for every person nor are we legally allowed to give exact dosing. Dosing remains experimental and subjective. One dose at night before bed may help an individual with sleep issues whereas an individual with chronic pain may take 5 doses a day whenever the pain arises. It is a natural plant and everyone processes things differently. This is simply a good place to start your experimenting. Listen to your body!

What’s the ideal serving size for me, and how often should I take it?

There is no easy answer to this. Our starting recommended serving size is 15 drops of the tincture or 25mg in the soft gels for adults but we generally recommend experimenting to see what feels best to you. Some prefer 5 drops, some prefer over 50 drops per day both morning and in the evening. See our dosage chart in the "About Hemp Oil" tab for dosage recommendations.  Here is a breakdown to better understand the dosage levels of the bottles based on the total milligrams you purchase.

Conversions- Ounce, Milliliter, Drop & Milligram
1 fluid ounce bottle = 30 milliliter (ml)
1ml (is a full dropper) = 30 drops
take your bottle mg dosage divide by 900
(30ml X 30 drops per ml = 900)
and you get the dosage per drop, for instance
500mg / 900 = .56mg per drop or
1,000mg / 900 = 1.11mg per drop or
2,500mg / 900 = 2.78mg per drop
if you are looking for 25mg per dosage,
500mg bottle take 25 / .56 you would need 45 drops or 1 1/2 droppers
1000mg bottle take 25 / 1.11 = 22 drops or roughly 3/4 of a dropper
2500mg bottle take 25 / 2.78 = 9 drops which is about 1/3 of a dropper.

What is the safety of your hemp extracts? Are there negative side effects?

Hemp is considered by many medical professionals to be generally safe. We’ve never seen or heard of any significant or negative side effects from full spectrum hemp oil products. That said, we can’t rule them out. Please consult with your physician before using any dietary supplement including Hemp extract supplements. There has never been a documented case of a hemp oil overdose, more then likely they just went to sleep and woke up feeling great.

Which of your hemp products should I get?

As a company who sells various dietary and food supplements, we can’t suggest any of our products for the prevention, treatment or cure of any disease or ailment. Also keep in mind this is not a get well fast remedy, you really need to commit to a 90 regiment of these products to feel better and get your ECS system up and running properly.

When considering our different dietary hemp products, know that our products come in five strengths. Our Original PCR Hemp oil blends come in 250mg, 500mg, 1000mg, 1500mg & 2500mg tinctures/Vape 10mg Gummies 10 & 25mg soft gels. We’ve found that sometimes less is more, but nevertheless, some people like to take very large serving sizes of our hemp extracts depending on their individual needs. We also offer our pain Balms in 300 & 500mg, these are best used as a pain ointment for sore muscles and joints, arthritis, psoriasis and many other skin ailments.  Don't forget about your furry friends, they have the same endocannabinoids systems that we have and can benefit from our pet wellness oil and pet treats immensely.

Is a standard hemp seed oil the same as a full spectrum hemp oil extract?

Most definitely NOT. Standard hemp seed oil, which can be found very cheaply at a grocery store and online, is a much different product than our full spectrum hemp extracts. Standard hemp seed oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds, whereas our hemp extract is a full plant extraction with many components not typically found in the seeds. Hemp seed oil is considered to be a great nutritive food, but it doesn’t have the naturally occurring full spectrum terpenes, phytonutrients and other components that our extracts have.

How should I store my PCR Hemp Oil?

Your Hemp Oil does not need to be refrigerated, but if you prefer to take it when it chilled you can store it in the fridge without that impacting the product. We recommend storying your Hemp Oil anywhere that the bottle isn't exposed to constant light and or heat.

Do I need to move to Washington or Colorado to get your Hemp Extracts?  Where do you ship?

No. Many people are under the impression that the only way to acquire hemp extracts for themselves or a loved one is to move to Colorado or another cannabis-friendly state. Many major news outlets are misinformed and are unfortunately spreading the idea that you can only get PCR Hemp Oil in the states where medical marijuana has been legalized. This is simply not the case though. Because our extracts comes from hemp instead of marijuana, we can and do ship nationwide, and no medical marijuana card is needed.

Where do you source your hemp from?

We have partnered with the largest PCR Hemp Oil provider in the US, our products are tested twice, packaged, and processed in the great State of Colorado, USA, and manufactured using GMP, NSF and ISO certified processes. Our unique and proprietary strain of high phytocannabinoid / Zero THC hemp oil produces naturally more beneficial full spectrum terpenes than any other strain of European or Chinese industrial hemp! We recomend never purchasing any dietary supplements from overseas as you never know what you are going to get or under what regulations or quality controls they were they produced.

While everyone else was cross-breeding strains of cannabis to produce more THC, our grow team was cross-breeding strains to produce less THC, and more full spectrum terpenes. Because our proprietary hemp strain genetics produces naturally less than .3% THC, we registered it with the Colorado State Department of Agriculture as industrial hemp.  Our partners were issued one of the first hemp licenses in Colorado State in 2014. All of our American hemp plants are grown and distributed in full compliance with the State of Colorado, as well as in full federal compliance with §7606 of the 2014 US Farm Bill and can be sold in all 50 states.

What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS)?

“The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the mammalian brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, consisting of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors.”

There are two main types of receptors in the ECS, CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily located in the central nervous system and brains of mammals, and CB2 are generally found in the peripheral nervous system. There are two main cannabinoids mammals produce- 2AG and Anandamide (named after the Sanskrit term “ananda” which translates to “peace”).

For hundreds of millions of years every vertebrate on Earth has been equipped with this ECS, a crucial system in the body, and it has been known about in the scientific and medical communities since the 1980’s. However, it’s still not taught about in most medical schools.
